Problem: “Primavera cannot e-mail this document. Please contact your Contract Manager administrator” error when trying to email any document from any module in Contract Manager.
Problem: In Contract Manager’s server.log file, the following error (or something similar) displays:

ERROR [STDERR] javax.mail.MessagingException: Could not connect to SMTP host: <smtp IP or server name> , port: 25;
 nested exception is: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect.

Cause: Anti-virus or other security software on the Contract Manager Web server machine may be blocking outbound traffic on port 25 (default email port). The email server itself may also not allow anonymous relay from the Contract Manager web server machine, which is required for Contract Manager’s email capabilities to function properly.

Fix: If security software on the Contract Manager web server machine is blocking outbound traffic on port 25, either enable outbound traffic on port 25 or add an exclusion for Contract Manager. If the mail server is not allowing anonymous relay, follow the mail server vendor’s instructions for permitting anonymous from at least one machine, the Contract Manager web server machine.
