Portfolios in Primavera P6 helps you group your projects based on certain criteria. Similar to an EPS or a WBS, Portfolios also enable you to mask project which do not belong to the Portfolio group as well. To go to Portolios, you can go to Enterprise, select Project Portfolios. To go to Portolios, you can go to Enterprise, select Project Portfolios.
As seen here, I have no porfolios created in my database. So Now I am create one by click on Add
I wanted to group all the Projects related to the upgrading of the HR IT Systems, so I created under the name “Office HR System Upgrade Projects”
Once that is keyed in, you can now select the Projects related to this by clicking on the Projects tab.Once done click on Assign and select the Projects you wish to add and click the + button.
Now, you have successfully created a Portfolio. You view only your Portfolios in your Project window, you can go to File and then select Open and click on the Select Project Portfolio on the top.
Select and click OK and from now on you will only see Project under that Portfolio.
To reverse it you can go to “All Projects Portfolio”.
